Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior GL Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general accounting practices and policies, developing and monitoring internal controls, helping develop efficient and scalable processes, and managing day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close. This candidate will specifically work on commissions accounting, International accounting and other GL related accounts with tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including financial reporting, and year-end audit coordination. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Accounting Manager and play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.
Responsibilities:Own Weights & Biases commission accounting and other GL the monthly close process for our domestic and international entities. This includes close coordination as well as recording and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysisPrepaids Accounting: Maintain and monitor prepaid schedules, ensuring accurate recognition of expenses. Work with other teams to streamline prepaid processes and enhance efficiency.Fixed Assets Management: Manage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation schedules, and disposals. Perform regular reviews to ensure accurate asset classification and compliance with company policies.General Ledger: Own the monthly close process for prepaids, fixed assets, and other GL accounts. Record and review journal entries, perform reconciliations, and provide fluctuation analysis. Oversee accounting activities for domestic and international entities, ensuring timely reporting.Audit and Compliance: Assist the Accounting Manager with year-end audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
