Sales Manager - Composite & TP (F/M/D)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of direst sales personnel to grow market share; meet or exceed annual territory budgeted forecast.
  • Meet or exceed segment’s annual business performance indicators mainly Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory & Receivables
  • Identify and regularly communicate with the management regarding industry trends, territory activities, competitive activity, and customer requirements to ensure that Chem-Trend can meet or exceed expectations within the industry segment and other new markets
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers through regular contact with decision-makers, corporate management, and influential personnel at any level. Maintain Chem-Trend’s image of supporting the product after the sale through excellent customer service.
  • Sell all assigned product lines to customers & Channel partners to secure market-place position. Utilize purchase agreements and long-term contracts to prevent competitors from selling low margin products and placing profitable products at risk. Diffuse competitive threats at key accounts with a sense of urgency.
  • Develop and present proposals to customers to promote the “Chem-Trend Advantage.”
  • Conduct regular training for customers and channel partners
  • Conduct product trials for new product developments and provide feedback to the technical staff and the laboratory.
  • Effectively utilize the company’s resources in managing the day-to-day operation of the segment.
  • Primary Responsibilities in technical resource role:
  • Collaborate internally (Global sales director, R&D, Sales) to develop new products and improve existing products to meet customer needs.
  • Enhance Chem-Trend’s image of superior technology, sales and technical service across the industry through direct contact with corporate and technical headquarters of customers, professional organizations and industry suppliers.
  • Support Sales Representatives and customers with timely problem-solving and general product information.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers and Sales Representatives as required; evaluate new product technology.
  • Channel partner management and working close with them for the regional business growth.
  • Develop sales and value selling skills to assigned customers.
  • Act as the liaison with the laboratory regarding product development requests. Develop a constructive working relationship to help achieve required results.
  • Monitor activity of new product introductions to bring forth timely testing of new products into the field.
  • Report competitor activity, such as product, performance, and personnel changes.
  • Request (TAR)’s and product development requests and coordinate with the lab to ensure the urgency and priority of these requests
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business, or equivalent experience in the industry
  • 12+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the chemical specialty field and experience in a leadership or competitive function.
