Job Description: Media Product Owner

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with expertise in media platforms, tools, and delivery channels to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of product and media, supporting our media buying agency and platform by evaluating tools, conducting RICE analyses, executing monetization and conversion tests to drive CoM down, and determining whether to build or buy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search, social, programmatic, native, and display advertising as well as user lead flow tools (i.e. messaging applications) to evaluate channels and develop scalable solutions increasing ROI.

You will play a key role in driving innovation, proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, and scalable media delivery strategies. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product development, media strategy, and technology, to ensure we are leveraging the best tools and channels to meet client needs and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool and Platform Evaluation:

    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of tools and platforms for media delivery, including vendor comparisons and feature assessments.
  • Experience using and implementing UX tools like Pendo, Heap, etc to evaluate user behaviors with a focus on conversions
  • Requirements Definition:
    • Create detailed requirements bridging the gap between designers and developers.
  • Use RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) analysis to prioritize and recommend whether to build, buy, or partner for new solutions:
    • Assess scalability, ease of integration, and cost-effectiveness of third-party tools.
  • Channel Analysis and Optimization:
    • Analyze and understand media delivery channels, including search, social, programmatic, native, and display, to recommend and prioritize usage.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and identify opportunities to enhance delivery and ROI through better tools or channel management:
  • Proof of Concept Development:
    • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to test new tools and platforms, documenting findings and making actionable recommendations.
    • Validate scalability of tools or platforms before full implementation.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the media team to understand channel needs and challenges and align product development with media strategies.
    • Partner with product development teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure the successful integration of tools or platforms.
    • Act as the bridge between product and media teams, ensuring alignment on goals and strategies.
  • Strategic Decision-Making:
    • Develop frameworks for evaluating technology investments and vendor partnerships.
    • Stay informed of industry trends, new media delivery tools, and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Provide thought leadership on how technology can enhance media delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Product Owner, preferably in a media buying agency, ad tech, or media-focused organization.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of search, social, programmatic, native, and display advertising channels. Experience evaluating or integrating media platforms and tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct RICE analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and develop business cases for technology decisions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects, including developing POCs and scaling solutions.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with product, media, and technical teams.
  • Strategic Mindset: A proactive thinker who can align media and product strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

    •    Technical acumen to evaluate and work with software tools and platforms.

Where:


The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America. The salary range for this position is 90 to 110K USD.
