Job description

We’re reinventing the market research industry. Let’s reinvent it together.

At Numerator, we believe tomorrow’s success starts with today’s market intelligence. We empower the world’s leading brands and retailers with unmatched insights into consumer behavior and the influencers that drive it.

Numerator is looking for a top performing sales professional to join our growing organization. As a Sales Director - Restaurants, (within our Emerging Verticals team) you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most iconic brands to help bring to life their advertising, marketing, and promotional strategies through Numerator’s rich portfolio of solutions and insights. This role will be in charge of building new relationships and in a variety of markets and spaces. We're looking for a sales individual who brings both knowledge and experience selling research solutions to enterprise customers (direct selling to Limited Service and Full Service restaurants preferred) and who also understands the marketing and advertising world. In addition to selling to new customers you will manage and expand relationships with existing clients throughout your territory.

What you'll do:

  • Continue growth of Numerator’s Restaurant customers
  • Prospect and build new business in assigned territory through professional networking and lead generation
  • Build strong relationships with clients and prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels within and across key buying centers
  • Uncover and develop client business needs based on Numerator's unique Point of View and set of comprehensive capabilities
  • Articulate and demonstrate the value of our solutions individually and as a unique set of connected capabilities
  • Lead the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and close across all product lines by working with clients, prospects, and Numerator's account management and solution experts

What You'll Bring to Numerator

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of enterprise software sales experience, selling into consumer products and retailers, in the functional areas of Brand Marketing, Market Research, Category Management, and/or Shopper/Consumer Insights
  • Working knowledge of software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Dunnhumby)
  • Knowledge and experience in the survey industry (e.g., Ipsos, SurveyMonkey, EuroMonitor) is preferred, particularly within the context of home improvement, housewares, consumer electronics and/or the management consulting industry. More specifically, an understanding of how survey and purchase data can be integrated to provide deeper consumer insights is highly valued.
  • Innovative and results-oriented sales contributor with strong software/tech sales experience, preferably with SaaS exposure.
  • Ability to follow an ROI led sales process
  • Proven track record exceeding sales goals and an ability to drive strategic sales cycles and close business.
  • Experience negotiating and renewing strategic/high revenue impact partnerships solo, including those that require deep sales and product integrations between companies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - Ability to speak fluently to senior executives, salespeople and product managers.
  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com and its use for updating accounts, opportunities, and deal stages

If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, we’d love for you to apply! Don't worry if you think that you don't meet all the qualifications here, the tools, technology, and methodologies we use are constantly changing and we value talent and interest over specific experience.
