The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our QLD Field Sales Team in this relatively new role - New Business Territory Manager. As a business development executive, this role is responsible for winning new business across identified areas within the Gold Coast Region to grow the overall distribution of our White Milk, Chilled Beverage and “back-of-house” categories.

As a key member of our Sales team, you will be responsible for winning new business and growing sales through the distribution and product visibility of the Bega Dairy & Drinks portfolio. You will be engaging with non-trading or lapsed customers across multiple channels including Cafes, restaurants, petrol and convenience and Local Trade throughout the Central and surrounding areas of the Gold Coast.  

Responsibilities

  • Working with Sales leaders to identify the best offer to convert non stockists

  • Creating an action plan to identify target customers in your region

  • Working with Territory Managers to generate and follow up on warm leads

  • Managing customer on-boarding from account set up to transition

  • Lead the state on the new business strategy, providing insights to the state field sales team on wins

About you

  • You have either extensive industry experience (i.e Venue or Operations Manager level) within the hospitality sector, or strong sales experience in an FMCG company.

  • You have the ability to achieve targets, manage priorities and gain buy in with the customer to increase overall increase distribution for Bega Group in the region.

  • Demonstrated courage and resilience to have constructive and challenging conversations.

  • Cold Calling is an extensive part of the role, you must be able to build rapport quickly and authentically with decision makers.

  • Commercial knowledge - understanding market & industry dynamics, utilising volume, rate, and mix targets, pricing strategies

  • Passionate, Self-Driven with key strengths in planning ,follow-up and execution.
