Overview:
The Specialty Pricing Analyst will manage the compilation, analysis, and reporting of data for pricing contracts for Specialty services provided by the PBM. Work cross-functionally with members of Underwriting, Finance, Clinical, Account Management, and other departments to develop requested reporting, assess impact of client requested changes, and perform ancillary analysis. Utilize SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to monitor and maintain Specialty pricing, aid in financial modeling, and perform economic forecasting. Design reports and analyze data which help support a variety of business needs ranging from day-to-day operations to key business decisions. Work within the Pricing & Underwriting department to create reports and write queries across multiple systems, to interface with and assist multiple business units.

Responsibilities:
- Provide aid/coordinate with all Specialty Pricing team members in process tasks, included but not limited to:
- Pharmacy pricing appeals – includes receiving and sending communications from Maxor Specialty and compiling specific data for automated processs.
- Run weekly pricing tasks to ensure pricing process accuracy and implementation.
- Gather input data for weekly process from pricing resources.
- Creating procedural documentation to cover all automation and analytical tasks for audit/compliance needs.

- Execute and implement dynamic pricing strategies in response to market fluctuations to provide competitive, profitable, and best in class pricing offerings.
- Create reporting and develop automation for Maxor’s PBM opportunities.
- Ability to read/write queries and solve complex data and analytical problems that assist in business processes.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities.
- Streamline processes and models to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize and maintain domain expertise across levers of PBM financials, including Specialty drugs, pharmaceutical manufacturer rebates, MAC pricing, and other Maxor product offerings.
- Proactive identification and closure of guarantee gaps as well as development of performance reports.
- Assist in developing pricing reports for senior leadership.
- Participate in ad-hoc department and company projects.
- Support functional & organizational initiatives as required.
- Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
- Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
- Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
- Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
- Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, or Economics. Or similarly related degree within data science.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience completing complex analytical, financial analysis for PBM services. Minimum of 2 years’ experience using SQL.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of pricing inputs and services mix (plan design, prescription history, pharmacy network models, rebate assumptions, specialty, mail pharmacy, brand/generic and more) for contracted PBM services.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA programming preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database tables, and structures.
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Reporting platforms (such as Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or SSRS).
- Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and assessing complex and unstructured data
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
- Contribute productively and work cohesively with cross-functional teams in operations, pharmacy, account management and finance in fast paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, as well as, strong follow through skills.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
