Position Overview:
The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our recruitment services. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in sales and business development within the recruitment industry, particularly in working with government and state-level clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and managing accounts to ensure long-term success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business opportunities within the recruitment sector, with a specific focus on DIR Texas and other state clients.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including HR managers, procurement officers, and government agencies.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring that client needs are fully understood and met.
  • Present recruitment solutions and services to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and value proposition.
  • Work closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure a seamless transition from client acquisition to service delivery.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the overall growth and success of the business.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, government regulations, and the needs of state clients to position the company as a leader in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance the company’s brand presence and drive lead generation efforts.
  • Assist in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and other procurement-related activities for state and government clients.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong background in recruitment services.
  • Proven experience in working with state clients, specifically within DIR Texas, government contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment processes and industry-specific regulations, particularly in the public sector.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with government contracting and procurement platforms (e.g., eProcurement, Texas Statewide Procurement).
  • Knowledge of DIR Texas and other government-related recruitment needs and processes.
  • Existing network and relationships within government agencies and state-level clients.
