About the ‘Impact Assessment Vertical’ at Climate Collective: 

We have a large climate tech startup portfolio, and we support them in measuring and reporting their climate impact to investors and clients. We have developed a Climate Metrics Guide for Small and Growing Businesses in partnership with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).  We have developed easy-to-use climate mitigation as well and adaptation and resilience-focused impact measurement tools in partnership with Habitat for Humanity's Terwilliger Centre ,the ASAP Accelerator project and WWF Climate Solver Project. 

We are looking for a Business Development Executive for our Climate Assessment Vertical. The role would involve identifying new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and developing strategies for growing and expanding our Impact initiatives. 

  • You can be located anywhere in India, as the position is remote. 
  • However, travel is required for attending business meetings and mandatory company retreats (every 4-6 months  

 

Job Description: 

  • As a business development executive, your primary role will be to identify, onboard and manage new partners for the Impact Vertical, such as foundations, DFIs and Corporate CSRs 

  • Strengthening the Impact team through systems building and hiring 

  • This role requires strong management experience and ability to take on a leadership role, business development skills, ability to communicate clearly and consistently, and an inherent and natural interest in working with people. 

  • Most importantly (and especially since we're a distributed team), we like people who are entrepreneurial, and intrinsically motivated about working with climate tech startups. 

 



Requirements

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in business development, strategizing and project management 
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the sustainability sector 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and partner relationships 
  • Effective communication for project coordination and stakeholder management with international clients, partners and collaborators 
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of climate tech, sustainability and the startup ecosystem would be considered as a bonus 
  • Understanding/ experience in ESG and Impact assessment would be a plus 
  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Needless to say, you should have excellent skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and a general appreciation for systems & productivity tools (we use Click Up, Slack and a few others).
