During your term with Loblaw, you’ll have the opportunity to develop an understanding of key marketing and social media principles working alongside some of Canada’s top brands and retail banners including: President’s Choice, PC Optimum, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills and more. Working on our Social Media Centre of Excellence you’ll get to put your social media skills to the test and contribute to our engaging content plans.
As a Co-op, Social Media Marketing, you’ll be operating in the capacity of a Coordinator.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are food-lovers and brand-obsessed
- Are passionate about social media marketing and the creator space
- A strong understanding of social media platforms and how they work
- A love of data and analytics
- Are organized and able to move quickly within a fast-paced environment
- Are collaborative team players with strong communication skills, both written and in person
- Are proactive, self-starters.
- Are solution-oriented, and apply that approach to problem solving
You’ll be a successful candidate if you:
- Are enrolled in a business/commerce, journalism or marketing post-secondary program that requires a co-op work term: Why not Loblaw?
- Have demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint: Do you have Canva, copy writing or design experience? Bonus!
- Have a demonstrated understanding of social media channels and platforms
- Have a demonstrated passion for social media content: You have a favourite brand in at least two categories, and can explain why their social media content is impactful. You have a good reason why you follow a brand or person in social media that no one else in your peer group does. You took a particular interest to your marketing class this year that others might describe as “obsessive”.
