MIND Education is seeking a Program & Communications Specialist to provide essential operational support for key programs, manage customer communications, and contribute writing expertise to projects as needed. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced team, this role requires an action-oriented individual who excels at planning and aligning priorities, driving results, and being resourceful in navigating challenges.

This position is central to ensuring smooth execution of initiatives like the Advocacy Program and evolving efforts that align with MIND Education’s mission and goals and reports to the Sr. Manager, Content Marketing.

 

Responsibilities

Program Support & Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the advocacy program, including engaging participants, tracking progress, and supporting long-term growth.
  • Assist in identifying, resourcing, and organizing success stories in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support other emerging or expansion of programmatic initiatives, supporting strategy and adapting to new opportunities as they develop.

Customer Communications

  • Plan and implement customer-facing communications, including newsletters, updates, and targeted campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Track communication performance metrics, analyze results, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure communications align with organizational messaging pillars and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain the customer communications calendar and share the customer communications plan internally via verbal and written communications.

Content Writing Support

  • Support writing needs as part of the content team, contributing to specific projects or campaigns as-needed.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Ensure content meets organizational standards for clarity, consistency, and alignment with messaging pillars.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated track record of crafting content that is both highly engaging and strategically impactful. Able to consistently deliver polished drafts that align closely with tone, voice, and messaging goals.
  • Proven experience managing programs or events with a strategic, programmatic marketing approach.
  • Skilled in coordinating logistics, tracking outcomes, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive in decision-making and communication, ensuring alignment with broader goals and priorities.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and align tasks with strategic goals.
  • Proficiency with digital tools, including email marketing platforms and project management software.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, solving problems creatively and navigating challenges with ease.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes enthusiastically to shared objectives.
  • Mission-driven, bringing energy and purpose to your work.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the K-12 education landscape and/or nonprofit sector.
  • Knowledge of basic data analysis for communication performance.
  • Experience with graphic design or media tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress, Hubspot, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) and ClickUp (or other project management tools) a bonus.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related role, preferably within edtech, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
