Job description

The Position

As Head of Business Development at Qogita, you will be the owner for all commercial sales teams that work on finding and growing our buyers throughout Europe. Becoming the premier partner for procurement teams of SMBs in the personal care and beauty industry will be your primary mandate and you will be responsible for testing and rapidly rolling out the team required to achieve this. This is a broad role with massive scope to shape the organization as needed to achieve our goals.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire new users, drive engagement, and maximize long-term revenue with ROI considerations mapped out

  • Identify and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities through data-driven + qualitative analysis and experimentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Engineering, etc.) to determine your teams strategy in conjunction with the broader company focus and plans

  • Drive, structure, analyze and channel daily work and information with each of the sales subteams

    • Field sales + partnerships (lead by regional leads)

    • Outbound sales

    • Inbound sales

    • Onboarding (Account executives)

    • Key account management

    • Long tail account management

  • Develop new business opportunities, anticipate issues and improve processes. Think out of the box and understand the business deeply to connect dots

  • You will have full responsibility for the commercial budget to have all the activities under control and to use it in the best impactful way to generate revenue for Qogita

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business development but also willing to get to the root cause of issues by visiting customers and getting to know them deeply

  • Role will report in directly to the CEO and work alongside full leadership team

Your profile
  • Min of 7+ yr of experience in fast-paced environments (startups, investment banking, top consulting firms, top internet firms)

  • Experience leading +5 people cross-functional teams

  • Proven track record of driving significant growth and scaling customer acquisition in a B2B industry

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data to inform strategic decisions (proficiency in BI tools such as Looker is a must)

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation and a willingness to experiment and take calculated risks. Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
