Position Summary
This position is a part of our Technology Solutions department where associates develop, manage, and support online and mobile solutions serving the Transportation, Workplace Safety, and Human Resources markets. Technology Solutions covers all aspects of the technology product lifecycle, from concept to release to ongoing customer support. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders in providing the right products at the right time, and in providing exceptional customer onboarding service, support and continued engagement. There are four functional areas that make up this department: Product Management, Development, Implementation, and Client Success.
Business Analysts are embedded in the business units so that they can develop an in-depth understanding of the core business objectives, have visibility to inefficient processes, and recommend solutions that support and enhance those objectives and improve productivity.
The purpose of this position is to partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze, implement and continuously improve business operations through the effective utilization of technology. This position will also provide insights and analysis to the seven Product Teams in Technology Solutions that empower them to deliver best in class products and services. This role will handle complex situations through deliberate analysis and planning and achieves results on projects and issues of medium complexity without supervision.
This position is able to work 100% remote, onsite at our corporate headquarters in Neenah, WI, or in a hybrid capacity.
Job Responsibilities
- Identifies, analyzes and facilitates the implementation of new and enhanced technology to support area of responsibility:
- Work with business unit to define business needs, project requirements, system specifications, and deliverables.
- Coordinates activities and maintains on-going communication with management, technology team, end users, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinates decisions based on business requirements, system functionality, and best business practices.
- Participates in system configuration, data conversion, and testing processes.
- Troubleshoots system errors and performance problems so that business needs are met on a timely basis. Provides 2nd level support for help desk calls. Analyzes trends and develops recommendations to resolve recurring issues.
- Prepares and updates documentation to include functional specifications, testing procedures, end user documentation, technical standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.
- May create and maintain reports and analytics to support the business unit.
- May prepare and conduct end-user training.
- Facilitates timely and thorough system testing for new system implementations and system updates/upgrades.
- Determines appropriate system security profiles in accordance with data security policies and practices. Audits security access on a regular basis and resolves issues.
- Actively participates in business process improvement activities to include leading and participating in process improvement events (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
- Leads project management and change management activities for medium to large scope projects, either independently or in partnership with other project leaders.
- Provides coaching, mentoring and training to other Business Analysts.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience working with software applications related to the specific business area.
- 2+ years of business analyst / systems analyst experience.
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS business environment.
- Prior experience working with Product Management teams to support product strategy and execution.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (from ideation to sunset).
- Proficiency in analyzing data to derive insights about product performance, customer feedback, and feature adoption.
- Ability to create dashboards and reports to track key metrics for multiple product lines.
- Prior project leadership experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology related field
- In lieu of the Bachelor's degree, will consider an additional 4 years of directly related experience.
- Lean, CBAP or PMP certification a plus
Computer Skills:
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of software applications related to area of responsibility.
- System implementation and configuration experience a plus.
- Experience with report writing/query tools such as SQL, Crystal, Business Objects, etc.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 to $98,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location.
