Summary

The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s computer networks and servers, ensuring optimal performance by monitoring and troubleshooting any issues. You will assist in configuring and maintaining network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls, while implementing robust security measures to protect against cyber threats. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring smooth and efficient network operations.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor Network Performance: Regularly check network systems to ensure optimal performance and identify any issues.
  • Manage Servers: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers.
  • Configure Network Devices: Set up and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement Security Measures: Develop and enforce security protocols to protect the network from cyber threats.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Perform System Updates: Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage data backup processes and develop disaster recovery plans.
  • User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to users experiencing IT issues.
  • Document Procedures: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Collaborate with IT Team: Work closely with other IT professionals to improve system efficiency and security.
  • Respond to all inquiries promptly and with excellent customer service.
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.


Requirements


What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in remote network and systems administration at an enterprise corporate level.
  • Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Strong familiarity with cybersecurity practices and protocols.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
  • Experience with system updates and patch management, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience managing server hardware, virtual machines management (Hyper-V), Azure cloud management, and AWS environment management.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability and desire to learn new systems.

Additional Information for Remote Role


  • Must be amenable to work from 12 AM to 9 AM Manila Time
  • Must be flexible to work in different time zones to align with the company’s operational hours.
  • Strong internet connection and reliable communication tools are essential.
