Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Job Description
Participate in various aspects of the monthly and quarterly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including reports on 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings. Assist with year-end audits and support the Accounting Project Manager with assigned projects. Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements and train new and existing staff as needed. Participate in the financial accounting integration within the ERP system, ensuring internal controls are implemented and efficient processes are designed, documented, and followed. Engage in the budget process and ad hoc projects as required, while maintaining technical alignment with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and timely filing of SEC reports, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.
- Support year-end audits.
- Assist the Accounting Project Manager with various projects.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements.
- Train new and existing staff as needed.
- Participate in financial accounting integration within the ERP system, ensuring internal controls are implemented.
- Engage in the budget process and ad hoc projects as required.
- Maintain technical alignment with key stakeholders.
- Check software projects periodically to evaluate performance and provide updates.
- Lead team through all testing and training phases.
- Possess strong knowledge of project management processes.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of GL accounting/reconciliation experience.
- 2+ years of Accounting Manager/Supervisor experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- 3+ years of experience in a large (500 million+) sized company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Public/CPA certification.
- 3+ years of utilizing the 'T-Rex' reconciliation experience.
- Retail industry experience.
Work Environment
Candidates will work 100% remote. If located in MN, there is an option to work out of the office in Stillwater. The organization offers flexibility, a supportive leadership team, and significant opportunities for growth. The role will involve managing at least two direct/indirect reports and focusing heavily on reconciliations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00
