Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Aegis Therapies’ Marketing and Corporate Communications team by executing strategies that elevate the brand, enhance engagement, and promote the company culture. This individual will work closely with the VP of Marketing and Corporate Communication to deliver high-quality content, manage social media platforms, and implement innovative marketing and communication solutions aligned with Aegis’ mission to Inspire, Impact, Innovate. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in writing, social media, and basic design tools, coupled with an ability to independently solve problems, manage projects, and adapt to evolving marketing trends.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Content & Social Media Engagement

  • Write, edit, and optimize a variety of content as needed to support Aegis’ internal teams—including professional proposals, client communications, social media posts, internal newsletters, blogs, and email campaigns—ensuring consistency with Aegis' brand voice and messaging.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop compelling content that showcases Aegis Therapies, its culture, mission, and values, while supporting business development initiatives, special event promotions, and strategic communications.
  • Coordinate Aegis' social media presence by developing and scheduling engaging posts and designing basic graphics for visual consistency. 
  • Monitor social media channels for insights, respond to inquiries, and identify engagement opportunities; provide analytics reports to inform strategy.

Marketing & Communication Support

  • Execute marketing strategies aligned with Aegis' goals, proactively adopting emerging tools and trends to enhance marketing & communication efforts. 
  • Independently execute identified solutions, leveraging new tools, resources, or approaches to address needs.
  • Support communication efforts by aligning materials with Aegis' culture and objectives, ensuring consistent messaging that effectively engages target audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide assistance with wordsmithing, formatting, and content development as needed, maintaining a high standard of clarity and brand consistency.

Project Management & Problem Solving

  • Take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and results to ensure successful project completion.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, utilizing creativity and resourcefulness to independently develop effective solutions.
  • Regularly report on project metrics, providing insights to inform strategic adjustments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or similar role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and experience managing social media accounts in a professional setting.
  • Basic design skills, preferably with tools like Canva or similar; familiarity with Adobe tools is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and execute solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of independently identifying and implementing creative solutions.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new marketing tools, resources, and strategies as they emerge.

* While this role is remote, the candidate is expected to maintain availability during standard U.S. Central Time hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) to ensure alignment with business operations. Occasional travel, up to once per month, will be required for meetings and on-site visits.
