JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, the Business Development Manager, USA is responsible for sales, marketing and driving the Minerals business in the USA. This includes developing new business opportunities, identifying possible partnerships and expanding our capabilities.
Work conditions include: sedentary work involving travel for business purposes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Comply with the OHS Act and Regulations, BV Group Policy and Procedures (including BV Core Values and BV Absolutes), Upstream Minerals Management Policies/Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the Business Development Manager position
· Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE), while being a strong proponent for safety in the facility
· Develop new business opportunities for Minerals in USA (including geochemistry, onsite, trade/commercial and metallurgy
· Build Bureau Veritas business and brand in the USA and within Minerals
· Liaise with Operations Managers and clients to ensure client needs are being met
· Represent company at regional tradeshows and other events that will promote the awareness of Bureau Veritas Minerals and services available
· Create and implement strategy for growth pipeline in the USA
· Create and implement strategy for expansion of Minerals offerings in USA including new locations, partnerships, new services, etc.
· Daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed, detailing activities: client contacts, quotes issued, follow up on quotes issued from previous month, etc., using assigned CRM
· Effective management of all advertising and promotion activities and needs
· Collect market information and sales figures to assist in corporate presentations
· Prepare business budgets and quarterly forecasts
· Create quotes, sales follow up, upload all relevant documents in Quote Module and CRM
· Assist in the preparation and presentation of tenders, monitor procurement requirements for clients
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
