The Senior Product Manager – Data Science will be responsible for managing complex data science products and maintaining an understanding of client business needs, providing thought leadership, and advising clients. This position serves the Veterans Health Administration’s Connected Care Pillar under the Digital Health Office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Provide oversight and manage data science products and machine learning operations and identify areas for process improvement/efficiencies
Identify client strategic business and technical objectives, operational goals and assess ways to drive delivery and consultative services that help drive the clinical analytics and data science programs forward
Work closely with our team of data engineers and data scientists to further develop their capabilities and skill sets
Manage multiple products and projects, to include planning/scheduling, risk management and mitigation processes, stakeholder communications, release management, regular status reporting, documentation, etc.
Conceptualize, analyze and advise clients on solution options to achieve client objectives
Coordinate efforts across numerous teams through frequent and effective communication
Work closely with strategic service delivery partners, subcontractors and independent contractors
Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

You’ve been responsible for managing a data science product, or even a suite of products.

You have at least 7 years of experience applying project management principles in a healthcare and/or technical environment, preferably with some of that related to health IT.

You possess strong emotional intelligence, enabling you to tailor your communication style and convey technical concepts across interdisciplinary teams.

You have managed so many software releases that you can rattle off minute details of a standard approach without having to think about it.

You have experience in at least one of the following (the more, the better): Veteran’s Health Administration, data science (AI/ML), consultin.
You have a desire to learn, are an analytical thinker, and will set out to solve client business needs.
You understand contractual responsibility and the importance of delivering on-time.
You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Agile Tools (Jira, etc.).
You are familiar with various analytics tools, platforms, resources (ex., Power BI, Databricks, R, Python, SQL, etc.).
PMP and/or other Agile Certification (s) or experience.
Ability to obtain a security clearance, at minimum Public Trust.
Bachelor’s Degree Required (related technical, business, scientific or healthcare disciplines preferred).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position is fully remote role and may require up to 10% travel for client meetings.
