Job description

About Packsize

Packsize is a leading automation company that enables more efficient and sustainable packaging process flows from packing to unboxing. We’re propelling our customers and the industry forward, always looking to innovate and improve. Because, to us, packaging is about much more than a box, it’s about delivering what’s right, for our customers, for their customers and our planet.

About The Role

Imagine yourself ordering a product online and then receiving that product in the most perfectly right-sized box, absolutely no waste! Right-sized packages are delivered to doorsteps all around the world thanks to Packsize, and it takes the skills and experience of our Product Managers to set that direction.

You’ll work as part of cross-functional teams defining new products, services, and features across Packsize for our solutions, optimizing complex workflows, and integrating them within larger networked solutions. We are highly collaborative with engineering, sales, and our customers as we curate our winning product portfolio, continuously looking at the health of our products and how we can learn and improve. We also investigate and inspire new technologies and how we will leverage them to solve problems in new and better ways.

You will work with your peers and senior leaders to research, and implement products and features that add value into our target markets. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be critical in gaining alignment across stakeholders.

As a key member of the Product Management team, it is your responsibility to understand our domain and empathize with our customers. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for product discovery by conducting user research and market analysis and use those outcomes to test assumptions and drive product strategy forward. Your leadership sets the tone in determining what gets developed and what does not.

What You’ll Do

  • Define a winning strategic plan and vision for the technologies and solutions we offer and our strategic advantages for executing those strategies
  • Manage the P&L of your product lines and future solutions that serve our markets to inform and show a return on investment
  • Maintain and represent ongoing investigations, research and communication that leads to a deep understanding of opportunities to gain more market share that direct our solution roadmap and vision
  • Articulate and document new innovative capabilities and technologies that need to be developed and build toward a roadmap that can be quantified with increased revenue and market share
  • Become the product expert and work closely to define and prioritize ongoing development with Engineering by explaining what needs to be developed and why
  • Ownership of the pricing strategies for the product categories that are defined, communicated and understood across Packsize teams and Packsize partners
  • You focus on and gather the voice of the customer through discovery steps and user testing to attain a high level of confidence that you and teams are building the right thing.
  • Understand and manage cross-group collaboration, dependencies, and risks to deliver on go-to-market activities with world-class quality. The ability to drive collaboration across teams is essential to success. You play a critical role in creating alignment across the organization.
  • Ensure objectives and strategies for your team are aligned with the broader Company Vision, Product Vision, and Product Strategy and that each is being met.
  • A focus on outcome-driven activities over a process. i.e., “What impact do we want to achieve?”
  • Facilitate and guide groups of people towards a decision and when difficult decisions must be made, you leverage data to choose a course of action
  • You define success and success metrics but are not afraid of missteps. You leverage small experiments to inform changes in strategy and approaches to accomplishing the vision.
  • You reflect the strategic priorities of Packsize. You fully understand -- and have the ability to articulate -- the problem, the solution, the vision, the ecosystem in which your product will function, and how the product and ecosystem will interact and impact each other. You are comfortable discussing these things with your team, presenting high level concepts to leadership and stakeholders, and supporting high profile customers.
