Summary: As part of a mission-centric, locally delivered, and nationally powered organization, this role serves as a front-facing major gift officer in the Region, responsible for mission integration, advancement, and donor cultivation of individual philanthropists and family foundations capable of giving $10k-$50k within their designated Region.
Duties And Responsibilities
Mission Integration
- Responsible for supporting mission-centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting $10k-%$50k+ high impact donors for regional and national stewardship activities.
- Partner with the Advancement Director and the Education, Services and Health Research department to communicate the LLS mission, programs, resources, and priorities effectively to internal and external audiences.
Advancement
- Responsible for identifying and qualifying individual and foundation donor leads and managing a major gift portfolio of prospects capable of giving $10k-$50k+ with a portfolio size of 50+ prospects within the first year and working towards building a portfolio of 80-100 qualified prospects within year two.
- Create and implement a robust moves management plan for donors and prospects within the assigned portfolio, including donor stewardship strategies and activities. Develop a re-engagement strategy for lapsed major gift donors from the past three years
- Lead monthly-quarterly region advancement prospecting sessions with all region campaign staff to identify major gift leads.
- Support donor cultivation events and other donor engagement activities within the Region.
Donor Cultivation
- Responsible for individual major giving through the engagement of region donors and volunteer leaders capable of giving $10k-$50k+
- Cultivate relationships with key prospects within the designated Region
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Competencies
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 Years of frontline donor development experience
- Formal training in annual giving, major gifts, foundation giving, planned giving, and other donor development activities is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make public presentations.

- Average salary range is $64K-$85K, open to further discussion based on geography.
