The Sr. Analyst, Therapeutic Pipeline Management works as an integral part of the Biologics by McKesson Business Development and Customer Engagement team to lead new business sales support efforts pertaining to Therapeutic Pipeline Management and Sales Targeting. This role will have a primary focus in building, maintaining, and tracking the therapeutic pipeline to ensure BD Leads are focused on establishing proactive relationships with high value biopharma clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports identification of new business opportunities through pipeline and market research, trend analysis, etc.

  • Works with BD leadership to establish applicable policies/standards and tracking methodologies and reporting to support new business metrics and analysis to empower proactive customer targeting.

  • Maintain data in a centralized pipeline management repository to ensure frequent reporting to management on activities and trends in therapeutic landscape that impact targeting efforts.

  • Leads the creation, updates and continuous monitoring of oncology, rare disease and cell and gene market events.

  • Support the process for contacting potential new biopharma partners to share Biologics’ capabilities and establish relationships.

  • Lend subject matter expertise to special projects related to the marketing of Biologics services to targeted customers.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, scientific or research fields, finance or related fields preferred. Advanced degree in Healthcare related fields a bonus.

Critical Skills

  • 2+ years of professional experience in specialty pharmacy, pipeline management, product marketing, or other related roles.

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in therapeutic pipeline management and research in the specialty healthcare sector

  • Ability to learn complex material quickly and clearly package research for internal team consumption

  • Excellent Communicator and Collaborator. Strong ability to translate research into actionable formats for sales targeting and collaborating with team to mature processes

  • Attention to detail, solid organizational skills and proactive project management

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare industry experience, preferably within the specialty pharmacy or patient support markets associated with complex care landscapes such as oncology and rare disease

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Enjoy the challenge of handling shifting priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced marketing environment while constantly striving for excellence

  • Ability to act independently, yet accountably, with sound business judgement

  • Willingness to delegate tasks while ensuring appropriate oversight of team

  • Proficient with Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills

  • Deep knowledge of company products and services

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment requiring some occasional in-office time

  • Up to 10% travel

  • Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$69,800 - $116,300
