Creator Partnerships Team Description/Area Of Responsibility
Xbox succeeds only when our partners thrive within our ecosystem; the Partnerships team helps our 3rd Party partners (3PP) grow engagement and revenue through leveraging all available platforms, tools, and support within the Xbox ecosystem.

Overview
We are seeking to hire a
Strategic Partner Associate to support our Strategic Partner Managers (SPM) on assigned high impact accounts in Tokyo, Japan. Your responsibilities include relationship building, operationalizing partner building strategies, understanding gaming creator business and the industry and support growth creation.

Job Description
The Partnership team in Japan is looking for a well-organized and highly motivated professional who will be responsible for the tasks tied to day-to-day account management. As part of the Japan Strategic Partner Management team, you will support the end-to-end execution across a set of assigned accounts. To be successful, we are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills who can drive efficiencies across a set of assigned accounts and greater organization. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and be an effective communicator, able to drive consensus and prioritization.
Your Main Areas Of Focus Include
- Responsible for the daily account management responsibilities across a set of accounts. Tasks include maintaining accurate information about each account, workflow approval, troubleshooting, resolution of miscellaneous partner questions, title information maintenance and account team workstreams management.
- Operationalize action plans related to Strategic Account Plan(s) in partnership with Strategic Partner Managers to drive success for partners and Xbox. As part of this work, analyze our partners’ business within Xbox and Microsoft, as well as broader information, driving ongoing progress on Strategic Account Plan(s) and refinement.
- Serve as the information hub within each account team to gather and populate deliverable status and drive progress (ex. Business Reviews, Executive briefs, Partner engagements, etc.,). Ensure that internal stakeholders have the latest information about our high-impact Creators and Xbox roadmap, work prioritization and status. This includes being able to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Coordinate partner engagement calendar, including events, meetings, and regular calls. Responsible for meeting reports and follow up action item tracking.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Ongoing Account Management support for title launches and partner growth.
- Maintain and develop internal and external relationships with business and functional peers for assigned accounts.
- Develop an understanding of customers, partner’s business, strategy, and relevant industry trends through research and operational/tactical support.
- Contribute to building opportunities for partners and Microsoft.
- Works and networks internally to create reports and keep the team updated on data trend
- Manage localization and general partner communication and notifications that need to be sent out
- Works with internal stakeholders including finance, legal, sales, platform, marketing, content planning to support development of partnership and account approach.
- Utilizes process to support development and maintenance of our Rhythm of business.
- Supports account teams and partners across our assigned accounts by evangelizing the best practices tied to partner success, execute day-to-day business tasks tied to specific Strategic plans or life cycle management and partner portfolio management.
- Supports governance and execution plans by working with internal and partner stakeholders across business and technical and operational teams and supports measurement results by assessing data and progress
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in partner relationship or business operations with a partner in Japan
- Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail- keeping stakeholders up to date and driving your work and team projects towards timely completion
- Strong teamwork capabilities and experience, working with and across a variety of teams globally
- Good analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Native level Japanese and English
Preferred
- Experience in the Gaming Industry.
