As a Senior IT Systems Administrator, you are excited to play multiple roles and your goal is to be hands-on and help, manage and support the IT environment across Protegrity offices globally.
Responsibilities:
Setup and administration of Linux servers (e.g. Redhat, AIX & Ubuntu) including RAID, LVM, Samba, iSCSI, GFS2, Docker etc.
Achieving automation through Scripting.
Administration of Backup systems, e.g. Veeam. that includes AWS backups for different services.
Setup and administration of servers with both Windows and Unix OS. Which includes but not limited to setup, administration, patching, vulnerability assessment and remediation.
Administration of Linux clusters including Oracle RAC, CDP/CDH, MapR, SQL etc.
Network administration that includes Firewall, Network Monitoring, DNS, VPN.
General administration of AWS and IBM Cloud resources.
Qualifications:
University degree (BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering and/or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in overall IT Infrastructure Management.
Excellent understanding and working knowledge on Linux such as RedHat Enterprise, AIX and Ubuntu.
Scripting knowledge in Linux is a must-have skill.
Strong knowledge on Data Backup and Restore software such as Veeam.
Knowledge of working in Vmware on Cloud.
Experience with IaaS tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform or OpenTofu.
Knowledge in configuring and maintaining the resources on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
Knowledge in Hadoop, DB2 and Oracle RAC setup & administration.
Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Reasonable understanding of IP environments including troubleshooting and diagnosing routing, switching, firewall, NAT, VPN, DHCP and DNS issues.
You should be able to communicate complex technical problems into simple terms.
