Job Summary
The Senior Plan Administrator is responsible for analyzing complex new comparability allocations, earned income arrangements for K-1 employees, plans with multiple testing groups and plans that require additional testing (benefits rights and features, 414(s) and component testing). In this role you will complete annual Form 5500 for 401k plans and provides audit support to the Plan Sponsor and audit team.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs Nondiscrimination, Top Heavy & Coverage Testing for defined contribution plans up to 500 lives based on documented processes.
- Calculates retirement plan contributions and allocations, including Safe Harbor allocations, discretionary match, prorata profit sharing, Integrated profit sharing and New Comparability profit sharing.
- Performs Nondiscrimination, Top Heavy & Coverage Testing for defined contribution plans for MEPs, Controlled Groups or Affiliated Service Groups.
- Calculates corrective actions for failures in annual testing.
- Consult and explain the results of the testing and any required corrections
- Preparation of IRS Form 5500-SF, 5500-EZ and Form 5500 with schedules
- Provide plan audit support, including reconciliations and preparation of assets and other plan reports
- Accumulate data and reconcile assets for conversion plans
- Perform peer review for annual testing and Form 5500s
- Complete preliminary or projected testing and provide consulting related to compliance and plan design.
- Complete compliance correction projects as needed
- Assist with training/guidance of junior team members
- Exceed internal and compliance deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
- 3-5+ years of retirement plan administration experience
- Relius Administration and FT Williams software experience preferred
- QKA Certification preferred
- Ability to reconcile transactions/assets on the Trust Statement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, must be able to build complex formulas and use V-lookup feature & pivot tables
- Self-Starter, highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and problem-solve
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively, prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
- Ability to meet seasonal deadlines based on IRS and Department of Labor regulations
- Advanced listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Must have an exceptional attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills

Compensation Information
The average salary for this position is expected to be between $60,000 and $105,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
