As our Billing Specialist, you will help the Billing department manage accounts associated with complex services and payer contracts. Every day you will, utilize EPIC software for managing hospital billing processes and maintaining accurate patient records, handle billing for several care services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and payer requirements, and conduct thorough edits on claims to ensure they meet payer-specific guidelines and standards. To thrive in this role you must, you must exhibit sharp attention to detail, possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Billing Specialist II:

  • You will review, correct, and finalize claims to ensure accuracy before submission.
  • Efficiently process and send out claims to various insurance payers, ensuring timely reimbursement.
  • You will utilize EPIC software for managing hospital billing processes and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Process refunds and adjustments accurately and appropriately, including write-offs, late charge adjustments, and discounts, all within IHC Policy and guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Payers to secure timely and accurate payments. Handle daily worklists to ensure compliance with billing and follow-up standards.

What we are looking for: (optional)

  • Proven experience in hospital billing
  • Strong understanding of UB-04 claim forms and the ability to perform detailed edits.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare billing processes and familiarity with the DDE system.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2 years of hospital billing experience

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.66 - $23.45 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
