About this role

ZILO has already established itself as an innovator and disruptor in the Transfer Agency space and its continued growth requires the addition of a Sales Director to help drive and deliver on developing opportunities.  

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling innovative financial technology solutions to the financial services industry, including banks, investment and wealth firms. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver against revenue targets. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify, develop and close new Sales Opportunities: Working with the Chief Revenue Officer, develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the financial services industry. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Whilst the role is primarily to find, target and close new opportunities, the successful candidate will also need to establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at financial institutions to secure new business from existing professional network and accounts. 
  • Target influencer network to drive referrals and recommendations. 
  • Build market awareness of ZILO and generate leads through attendance at industry events, briefings and roundtables. 
  • Ability to present and demonstrate our financial technology solutions to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition and addressing client needs and concerns. 
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead complex sales negotiations, prepare and present proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional customer experiences. 
  • Provide feedback from clients to product teams. 
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, track progress against sales targets, and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting regularly to senior management. 
  • Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and ethical standards when conducting sales activities. 

Requirements

Skills and attributes 

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of proven sales experience meeting and exceeding sales targets within the financial technology sector, specifically selling to financial services institutions. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities. 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at senior levels. 
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills. 
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the financial services industry. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism. 
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability.
