Job description

Claims Specialist – Household Claims (also known as Property Claims or Home Claims)
Locations: Leicester or Bexhill (Hybrid) with expectations to be in the office approximately once per week. However, for the right candidate, there is a degree of flexibility around this.

Job Details
 

  • Supporting Home Claims in building the right capability in providing good customer and commercial outcomes – reviewing and monitoring outcomes/KPI’s and supporting improvements through technical development

  • Creating, maintaining and delivering all function specific technical training for the department, as well as maintaining new start training content as a subject matter expert

  • Identifying and tracking technical needs and themes from a variety of sources for individual colleagues and across Home Claims as a whole

  • Completing regular case audits and referrals to ensure that all work is carried out to a high level of accuracy in line with our standard operating procedures

  • Embedding essential knowledge and training to support colleagues’ professional development through our progression framework and conduct training/coaching needs analysis using our operational framework

  • Maintaining own technical knowledge by keeping up to date with current processes and practices within the industry and providing technical input to support the development of appropriate strategies to mitigate any risks



 

Skills we would love you to have
 

  • Thorough technical understanding of Household Claims/Property Claims/Home Claims

  • Previous experience of coaching team members, coaching models and various ways to implement a good understand of technical skills, regulatory requirements and company principles

  • Great attention to detail with a systematic approach to managing your workload with strategic thinking vision
