Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned claims management professional to leverage their expertise, leadership skills, and strategic mindset to make a meaningful impact on our organization. Your ability to analyze claims data, identify trends, and develop innovative solutions will be instrumental in achieving our departmental goals and enhancing the overall customer experience.

This is a remote position, and the candidate can be located anywhere within the United States. However, a preferred candidate would be someone based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan areas.

In this role, your key responsibilities will be:


  • Manage a team of claims developers, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development
  • Train and assign workloads to claims staff, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Review and approve complex or high-value claims, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Analyze claims data and identify trends to develop strategies for reducing losses and improving claims handling
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to resolve complex claims issues
  • Implement process improvements and streamline workflows to increase productivity and reduce processing times
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to the claims team on coverage interpretation, negotiation tactics, and settlement strategies
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the department's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar license preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in social security claims management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; 2-3 years managerial experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Thorough understanding of social security claims handling processes
  • Proficient in using claims management software and data analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $80,541.00 - $100,000.00 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
