Job Family Definition:

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.
Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.
The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:
Deep software experience in cloud technologies, and micro-services architectures, 
Hands-on experience in scenarios with highly-secure and reliable software systems with the ability to perform continuous operation.

Strong DevOps exposure and experience with CI/CD/CT pipelines, automated testing platforms, site reliability engineering.

Deep expertise in software, languages, toolchains, and still be actively writing production-level code.

Motivation and ability to provide self-direction in addition to being able to work with remote and geographically dispersed team members.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering or equivalent job-related experience.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and micro-services in a production environment.
Experience with a modern, full-stack CI toolchain on a public cloud provider, and ideally also on-prem.
3 + years development experience with Python or Go (preferably both).
Experience with various container runtimes and orchestration platforms (Docker, K8s Mesos, …).
Experience with monitoring and reporting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Elastic Search, Splunk, etc.
Great verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and organization.
Outstanding problem-solving skills

USD Annual Salary: $113,000.00 - $259,500.00
