Job Description: 

We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager  to join our team of innovators. We have built the KONUX Predictive Maintenance System for rail switches, the first AI-based solution for the rail industry. And we are developing more innovative solutions. As a Strategic Account Manager Central Europe at KONUX, you will lead the development of current and future clients building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders within this region. Together with your account team colleagues, product management and other teams within KONUX, you will develop and implement customer strategies. You will be responsible for driving the demand for existing solutions based on an in-depth understanding of future customer needs and sales opportunities.

Your Impact:

  • Develop and Execute Account Strategies: Craft tailored strategies for target customers, aligning with their transformational goals to enable high-value sales and foster growth throughout their organization.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and nurture robust relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring they fully understand and support the advantages of KONUX’s solutions.
  • Drive Demand and Budget Creation: Guide key decision-makers within customer organizations on addressing their transformation needs with KONUX’s existing solutions, ensuring long-term success.
  • Foster Innovation and Growth: Identify and nurture demand for new solutions, leveraging your deep understanding of the customer’s current and future business challenges to drive upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Client Executive Director Central Europe, and the account team to ensure project success and account expansion.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinker: You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to craft strategic solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Solution-Oriented: You have extensive knowledge of customer pain points and excel at proposing meaningful, impactful solutions.
  • Driven and Accountable: You take ultimate responsibility for your region’s success, demonstrating tenacity and a commitment to achieving results.
  • Bilingual Communication: You have very good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and German.
  • Innovative Mindset: The challenge of selling new technologies that may not yet fit into traditional procurement processes excites and motivates you.
  • Cultural Fit: You resonate with the KONUX culture of continuous improvement, resilience, and flexibility.
  • Industry Expertise: With 10+ years of experience in consultative sales within the railway industry or other national-level government sectors (e.g., defense, aerospace, oil & gas, renewables), you have a deep understanding of technological solutions and complex systems.
  • Railway Infrastructure Knowledge (preferred): Ideally you are well-versed in the railway infrastructure industry, with a solid grasp of client budgeting and purchasing processes.
