Job description

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a key person to help the organization in the procurement stuff. 

In this role, you will:

  • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies; 
  • Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders;
  • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures;
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers and identify suppliers of goods and services; 
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing products and services to be purchased;
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc;
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records;
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc;
  • Maintaining good supplier relations;
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods;
  • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

 

  • Degree in business management or a similar field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position in tech startups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word and excel) and purchasing software.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Certified Procurement Professional is plus.
