ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • The Administrator’s responsibilities support the data management and administrative needs of GVI’s product and contracting initiatives. This role will work closely with members of Product Creation, Contracting as well as department leadership. This role Working collaboratively with the product owners (Product Manager and/or Contractor) to manage the volume of data associated with GVI operated optional excursions.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED   

  •  At least 2 years of experience working in a similar position within the travel or operations field
  • Demonstrates experience in a role that requires critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving and strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
  • At least 2 years of experience with Data entry 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, power point) and database management or CRM systems (Dynamics preferred

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED   

  • Knowledge of GVI products, services, policies, features, and benefits 
  • Experience with document Management and process workflow 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Inputting and proofing price related data in the Excursion database.
  • Managing the content of excursions in the Enterprise excursion database
  • Creating reports as needed to help the team monitor sales or support (eg. Power BI reports, optional reports and other)
  • Proofing websites throughout the season to ensure excursion content is displaying correctly   Proofing and updating select elements within Enterprise Tour Trees as needed 
  • Mapping excursions to the tours to ensure availability in time for launch.
  • Assisting with the documentation of workflow and systems, as well as maintaining and updating procedure workflow.

 

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT 

The following teams make up the Product & Operations department: Contracting, Data Management & Product services, Product Creation, and Tour Operations. Product & Operations is responsible for the creation, operation, inventory management and delivery of Globus, Cosmos, and Avalon Waterways in select destinations. This department is also responsible for supporting tour products planned and sold worldwide, including managing inventory and content.
