Job description

Description

Cardo Systems, the global market leader in wireless communication systems for power sports with a strong connection to the off-road vehicle segment, seeks a highly motivated Dealer Development Specialist to support our events and dealers.

In this role, you will travel extensively and visit dealers selling Cardo products, ensure they are fully trained, have the right marketing materials, and have everything it takes to successfully sell and promote the Cardo brand. You will also travel and attend off-road and snowmobile events, tradeshows, and rallies, where you will represent Cardo and increase our brand awareness within the SxS and snowmobile communities.

The Dealer Development Specialist is responsible for developing the Cardo business within all Cardo-carrying dealers and off-road events. This role is a high-value addition to our sales organization and its channel partners, enabling revenue growth and increasing sales productivity.

This entry-level position suits people looking to join a fast-growing company and spend most of their time on the road visiting Powersports dealers.

The position reports directly to Cardo’s GM Americas and dotted line to the Head of ORV business.

Responsibilities

  • Dealer Visits: Regularly visit powersports dealerships within your assigned territory to assess their training needs, marketing materials inventory, and sales processes.
  • Training and Education: Provide comprehensive training sessions to dealership staff on the features, benefits, and selling points of Cardo products. Train them on the effective use of our products and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Attend off-road vehicle (ORV) events to support business growth, increase brand awareness for our products in the SxS and snowmobiles, and support our distributor in audience engagement and product demonstrations
  • Marketing Material Placement: Collaborate with dealerships to ensure they have an adequate supply of marketing materials.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with dealership owners, managers, and sales representatives. Serve as the main point of contact for dealership inquiries and concerns and promptly address any issues that may arise.
  • Product Knowledge Support: Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and advancements in Cardo products. Be able to effectively communicate this information to dealerships and address any technical inquiries they may have.
  • Market Insights: Gather and report market insights and competitor activities to internal teams. Provide feedback on the market’s response to our products and identify potential opportunities for improvement or expansion.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dealership visits and events participation. Prepare regular reports summarizing activities, achievements, and areas for improvement.
