The Opportunity
CloudBees is seeking a data-savvy and strategically minded Demand Generation Operations Manager to join our Marketing Operations team. The ideal candidate is a data-driven professional with a deep understanding of demand generation processes, marketing operations, and data analysis. They are adept at transforming complex data into actionable insights, optimizing workflows, and managing technology to drive high-quality pipeline growth. This role is crucial in enhancing the efficiency of our demand generation initiatives and ensuring that our team has the insights needed to make impactful, data-backed decisions.
Your Impact
As a Demand Generation Operations Manager, you will:
- Drive Data-Driven Strategy: Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms in partnership with our cross-functional Data & Analytics team to monitor key demand generation KPIs (lead generation, lead quality, conversion rates, pipeline velocity, etc.). Analyze data across multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable recommendations that optimize our lead generation and conversion efforts.
- Conduct Analysis and Insight Generation: Serve as a key resource for data analysis, working closely with stakeholders to understand demand generation performance and areas for improvement. Use your analytical skills to interpret data, provide insights, and guide decision-making on demand gen strategies and campaigns.
- Enable Teams on Data & Dashboards: Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that offer visibility into demand generation performance. Conduct training sessions to equip marketing and sales teams with the skills to independently access and interpret data, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Ensure Data Integrity and Compliance: Maintain high standards for data quality and compliance across all demand generation activities. Implement data cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Support Testing and Experimentation: Partner with marketing and product teams to design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to improve lead generation performance, increase conversion rates, and drive pipeline velocity.
- Optimize Demand Gen Workflows: Design and refine lead capture, scoring, and nurturing workflows that align with industry best practices and support efficient lead conversion and robust pipeline generation.
- Support Marketing Technology Stack: Support the marketing automation platform and CRM (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce) to ensure smooth data flow, accurate audience segmentation, and consistent campaign tracking. Continuously assist in evaluating tools (e.g., 6Sense) to enhance lead scoring and provide strategic insights.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between marketing, sales, and product teams, sharing data-backed insights and aligning demand generation efforts with broader business goals. Facilitate collaboration to ensure that all teams are aligned on objectives and strategies.
- Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Continuously research new tools, trends, and best practices in demand generation and data analysis. Apply these insights to refine and elevate our demand generation strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in demand generation, marketing operations, or a data analysis role within marketing, with demonstrated ability to manage marketing automation and CRM platforms.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python/R) and marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketo, Tableau). Familiarity with demand generation tools like Marketo, 6Sense, Salesforce, etc.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to analyze data, identify actionable insights, and present findings in a way that drives strategic decision-making.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of B2B demand generation processes, lead lifecycle, and digital marketing practices. Technology and DevSecOps experience a plus.
- Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring attention to detail throughout the process. (Preferred, but not required)
