Reports to the VP of Strategic Solutions, working within the D&I CTO organization while also closely with the D&I management and technical leads, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical partnerships and initiatives, identifying technical capabilities and solutions, all supporting the primary role of solution development on strategic and highly competitive proposal initiatives.  You will leverage your expertise in technology, operational experience, and business planning to formulate and implement solutions, build relationships within the market and sectors, support in early shaping activities and collaborate with the growth team to ensure technical alignment supporting our positioning for success..

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Director, Solutions Architect to join our team! In this role you will get to:

Qualifications:

  • Identifies, develops, and drives technology solutions within the D&I mission areas to support a full understanding of mission and customer requirements. Develops and executes proposal solution development augmented with technology solutions.
  • Experience in proposal development and writing technical reports.
  • Leads the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance capabilities in support of key growth initiatives. Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies that align with mission and operational needs.
  • Leverages a strong network of customer and industry contacts and familiarity with our customers’ major programs and upcoming initiatives. Keeps abreast of the current business climate and overall industry trends.
  • Collaborates with D&I Account Executive teams to support emerging growth opportunities, identify and develop solutions for emerging trends, and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to proposal team from inception to completion, leading the solution development and technical approach volumes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Designs innovative and scalable technology solutions, focused on Tactical C5ISR Systems, Networking & Operations, Open Systems Architectures, Electronic Warfare, Modeling & Simulation, Systems Integration, Operational Test & Evaluation. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical approaches to architect solutions to counter threats within each domain.
  • Understanding of open architectures, modular design, and overall US Army strategy regarding open architectures.
  • Experience with Army PEO C3T, PEO IEW&S, DEVCOM C5ISR Center, CECOM SEC, DoD Acquisition System Engineering and Management, NSA certification/accreditation, Army Training, and Combat Field Operations Support.
  • Technical focus on systems engineering, prototype development, tactical edge communication/networking/network management and operation, open systems architecture, and a complete knowledge of acquisition life cycle management

Locations:

Remote support with travel to Parsons office in Centerville, as well as other locations in the DC Metro Area. The successful candidate will be assigned as remote office classification.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in technical or business discipline; Technical/Engineering degree preferred.
  • 7-12 years of diversified experience, primarily with technology development, engineering management, business development and capture management, with ability to understand and support business goals and objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of the D&I markets, to include management and delivery of software/hardware capabilities in support of those mission areas.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
  • Must have a Secret clearance at a minimum. TS/SSBI preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, as required, typically 20-30% with occasional surges >30%.

Salary Range: 

$140,700.00 - $253,300.00

This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
