Overview: Corporate Counsel - EMEA position for a licensed attorney (3/4+ years’ experience) with high-level corporate, commercial contract and transactional experience.
Location: Cork or Dublin preferred. Other European locations welcome. Open to remote work.

Position Overview: We are looking for a Corporate Counsel with responsibility for the EMEA region on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel – EMEA, this position will work closely with the European sales team and have responsibility for customer agreements in the region. In addition, the Corporate Counsel - EMEA will provide business and legal counsel on a wide range of commercial, employment, and other issues. As such, this individual must be comfortable giving strategic, creative, and business-savvy legal advice and must independently own matters while operating under the general management and direction of the Senior Corporate Counsel – EMEA.
Required and Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 3/4 years’ experience with commercial contracts and transactional experience.
Law degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in Ireland, the U.K., or another European jurisdiction.
Expertise negotiating and drafting commercial agreements for technology companies, including software licensing experience and familiarity with intellectual property issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; superior organizational abilities; ability to handle multiple projects effectively; experience working successfully with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
Demonstrated ability to interface with engineering, sales and finance functions, and intellectual property counsel.
Self-starter, someone who takes the initiative on important projects; Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
Fluency in English required.
A creative problem solver who understands that his/her role is not only to identify legal issues, but to resolve them to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating of customer and procurement agreements, and a wide range of other commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, product sales and purchasing agreements, office lease agreements, etc.
Preparation of first draft original agreements, and revisions to standard agreements to suit individual project requirements.
Serve as an initial point of contact for clients, providing creative business and legal counsel on a wide range of issues common to rapidly-growing public companies.
Provide compliance awareness and counsel with respect to European laws and regulations.
Provide education and training to EMEA staff.
