The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Senior SAP Finance Solution Architect. In this role, you will lead and support operations and projects related to SAP best practices, solution architecture planning, functional change governance, production support, enhancement of processes, integration of new business practices, or acquisitions in the SAP S/4HANA Finance area. Your expertise and leadership will drive operational efficiency, financial management, and business process improvements across the organization

 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Provide guidance and delivery of in-solution architecture and best practices within SAP S/4HANA Finance modules.
  • Collaborate with business partners on continuous improvement initiatives to improve process issues or meet new business requirements.
  • Lead and manage the SAP S/4HANA Finance team, ensuring the team’s effectiveness and productivity.
  • Act as a thought leader for subjects in your area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.
  • Partner with business, application, architecture, and delivery teams to develop software service roadmaps.
  • Participate in external emerging technology user groups, software vendor education, and industry groups.
  • Ensure alignment with current and next-generation emerging technologies.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of business and IT experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in architecting solutions in an ERP system – with a focus on SAP Finance modules
  • Hands-on experience as an SAP FICO SME with knowledge of the SAP GL, FA, CCA, PCA, Material Ledger, Product Costing, and COPA modules
  • Minimum of two years of experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance
  • Experience designing Organizational and COA structures within SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience Integrating the SAP FICO module with other SAP modules
  • Preferred:
    • Minimum of 15 years of SAP Finance project implementation experience
    • SAP Retail Industry experience
    • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience on SAP implementation projects
    • Experience in multiple, full-lifecycle SAP implementations, at least one being SAP S/4HAHA
    • Experience in Intercompany transactions, eliminations, and financial consolidations
    • Minimum of two years of experience as an SAP R2R Lead supporting SAP S/4HANA post-implementation
    • Prior experience as a Finance User
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
