This is the lead role for eBay Monetization analytics, based out of Bangalore. This team is involved in seller pricing and promotion related decisions from end-to-end, starting from the design phase to measuring the impact post implementation. Deep knowledge of advanced A/B testing methodologies is a must for this role. Apart from technical skills, a candidate must have good people management, storytelling and stakeholder management skills to succeed in this job.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Analysis of both high-level and granular (category and/or product specific) business trends
- Conduct database analysis using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Structure and refine analysis with the goal of distilling insights from the data
- Build and manage processes that produce insights and information on a periodic basis
- Team Development and Management
- Support junior analysts by guiding them in their analysis
- Present analytical findings to senior management in order to guide decisions
- Analyze and monitor the business impact of price changes and promotions
- Design product/ feature reports and work cross-functionally to implement them
The role is both data-intensive and people-intensive, and hence the successful candidates should demonstrate strong inter-personal skills, and be extremely comfortable working with large sets of data to derive business insights. The successful candidates should also be able to offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, and be able to work collaboratively with multiple teams, located in different geographies.
