Functional Responsibility:

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.  You will provide Investigative Financial and Forensic Support to a federal criminal investigative agency for a variety of needs, including the following key areas:

  • Provide software, hardware, and wireless support, including mobile forensic examination to the client based on submitted requirements for functionality and use of developed tools.
  • Display technical comprehension of relationships, dependencies, and hardware and software component requirements.
  • Interpret submitted documentation, including user and functional requirements and develop forensic examination reports according to a template to be provided to the client as a final deliverable.
  • Works independently, may supervise/manage junior analyst.
  • Designs, develops, and recommends integrated cloud system solutions for performing and
    managing digital forensics systems;
  • Performs duties on tasks that require expertise in cloud implementation/configuration, cloud security analysis of providers, cloud security assessment/risk analysis, cloud security design, security analysis of network operating systems and applications, continuity of operations, planning, and disaster recovery.


Qualifications

  • Relevant General Experience: 6+ years
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.


Skills:

  • Experience with forensic tools including Nuix Workstation, Nuix Investigate, Cellebrite, X-Ways, Quickbooks, ScanWriter, Relativity, desktop virtual managers (e.g. VirtualBox, Vmware Player).
  • Experience with hypervisor configuration, reporting, management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with on-premise and off-premies hypervisor solutions (Nutanix, Azure, AWS, Horizon, Citrix).
  • Experience supporting Azure SAML Networking and Authentication, Azure virtual systems.
  • Experience supporting FortiManager, FortiNac, FortiEMS.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and managing administrative network domains (e.g. Virtual Domains (VDOMs), Administrative Domains (ADOMs).
  • Support Windows domain authentication, including multifactor authentication (e.g.  Common Access Cards, host certificates). 


Desired Outcomes:

  • Assist CI in developing, deploying, maintaining a suite of data analytic and forensic tools and data store to further the agency core mission.
  • Provide forensic user support for on-premises cloud or off-premises government cloud environments.
  • Provide onsite data center support for forensic systems.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud environment used for digital forensic analysis.
  • Respond to cloud and other large search warrants by providing rapid system configurations and support.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) - Support customer tickets within 24-36 hours for 2500 persistent VMs, 100-300 physical machines connected to an Azure environment, and around 3000 users regardless of network/platform.
  • Automate system reporting, statistics, user permissions, application streaming.
  • Support daily troubleshooting and O&M activities.
  • Comply, assist with maintaining, all GSS/SSP and IRM standards for CI environments.


Location:

  • Virtual or in one of 250 CI locations.


Hours of Work:

  • Core hour are from 8:00AM to 4:40PM EST


Security Clearance and Background Check

  • A security clearance of Secret or higher is required to perform this work. Top-Secret security is highly preferred. Regardless of current security clearance, a High Risk Public Trust background investigation will be conducted on all employees by the government client.

Salary Range

  • $60 - $65/hr. Contingent upon client budget.
