Job Summary:

Responsible for collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, including human resources, information technology, centers of excellence, and business leaders, to optimize Workday applications. Ensures Workday aligns with the organization’s business objectives and enhances operational efficiency. Uses comprehensive understanding of the drivers and capabilities of our business, both current and future states, to define business outcomes that align with company overall strategy.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring that projects align with the technology that provides maximum return on investment, and directing human resource technology strategy in support of the overall business strategy. 
  • Owns program level roadmaps, schedules, and development plans for assigned areas of focus. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements for Workday applications and identifies dependencies, risks, and system-wide impact.  
  • Organizes executive summaries for updates of critical projects and pro-actively communicates the team’s plans, progress, results, and resource needs for projects/programs assigned with leadership and key stakeholders. 
  • Facilitates project core team meetings and decision making, ensuring alignment with project team members and other key business stakeholders. 
  • Works closely with development teams to drive the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday applications and features while maintaining documentation standards. 
  • Strives to improve and optimize Workday applications, leveraging new features and functionality. 
  • Delivers projects that improve reliability, performance, and security of all applications across the application to produce service levels consistent with current and future business needs. 
  • Ensures quality and reliability of Workday applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance procedures. 
  • Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing and new emerging technologies to support the evolving business and operating model. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
