Our work depends on an experienced Deputy Workstream Lead joining our team to remotely support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) activities on GDIT’s Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) program. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

As a Deputy Workstream Lead supporting MATS, you will be trusted to advise, consult, and provide direction and leadership in support of the execution of multiple projects within the Independent Dispute and Resolution (IDR) workstream, assisting the Workstream Lead/Sr. Program Manager. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Program Management, including project planning, resource planning, risks, financial budgeting and forecasting, human resource management, deliverable tracking, etc., working with the program's PMO team and Financial liaison
- Resource Manager, managing both direct and non direct employees and directing subcontractors, able to hire, coach, and performance manage when required, and able to work with matrixed and shared resources.
- Managing up and down, and micro managing, delegating, and guiding at various times
- Being passionate about finding the balance between delivering to the client, molding a growing team, and coaching individuals
- Working with a consulting mindset, being able to provide strategic guidance and allowing the team to run with and present ideas
- Utilizing a deep understanding of the Development lifecycle into operations, with a knowledge of all Agile ceremonies
- Helping to track project status at a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycle
- Recommending high quality and efficient technical issue solutions and business processes that are in compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards and contract requirements
- Serving as a liaison among the customer, stakeholders, project team, and company, following proper communication paths using a customer-focused approach
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 9+ years’ experience in Project Management
- Current Program/Project Management Experience, running day-to-day operations of comparable Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Healthcare contracts
- Experience leading and managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams
- Expert with Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supervising/managing and mentoring a team through a high traffic Marketplace enrollment period
- Experience with CMS’ Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) group
- Proficient with Atlassian products, including JIRA and Confluence
- Active SAFe 5 Agilist, Product Manager, and/or Scrum Master certification
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Knowledgeable about Salesforce and Salesforce data management
- Experience serving as a primary liaison among the customer, stakeholders, project team, interpreting and managing the expectations of customers and stakeholders while achieving a “Very Good” or higher CPARS rating for Management
- Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
