Job Summary

CUSTOMER is looking for a Project Manager to work in their Project on Common Admin Portal - further development of the existing web-based administrator portal to handle Master Data & Ledger data from backends. The project is challenging and will require close collaboration. Majority of development in Stockholm - teams are highly motivated and skilled.

The portal now needs to handle backend data (Customer, Accounts, Invoices, payments, transactions) in addition, development of gaps compared to existing portal offering. A major challenge will be master data management (customer, accounts of users) - who needs to be synchronized between two backends.

The ideal candidate has experience in web based (java) development providing information stored in backend systems who deliver the data via microservices. The development is a "refinement" of existing system who all the time needs to serve the existing customer base. With the data presented in one tech stack and available in two others the ability to make teams from different tech stacks develop a common language is essential. A major challenge will be master data management (customer, accounts of users) - who needs to be synchronized between two backends. Development is carried out by our agile teams - and interfacing with the agile methodology in a SaFE environment will be needed. One ring fenced team focused on the portal will be available, but collaboration will be needed with other agile teams. Excellent people & communication skills are needed since the process involves getting two organizations to collaborate. Focus will be on getting the job done, remove impediments not on reporting, since a close collaboration will take place with Program management.

Skills/Experience needed

Requirements: 

·        Web development in a Java environment. Ideal candidate has developer experience and has moved on to “project management”

·        People management skills – ideal candidate has managed team or even teams including stakeholder management

·        Web development when backend data is stored in a non-traditional Java tech-stack like mainframe / MS Dynamics

·        Communication skills – ideal candidate is a good listener and excels in communicating both in verbal and written form

·        As an individual, the candidate should have experience collaborating with various stakeholders and be skilled at driving the process forward and making decisions.

·        Reach a decision, developments projects need decisions all the time – the ability to take decisions and if necessary, anchor decisions are a must

·        One of the Scandinavian languages and English

Meritorious qualifications:

·        Corporate users – a user who acts on behalf of a corporate customer is not the same as a consumer user – understanding the complexities in this area is an advantage

·        Agile SAFE understanding the roles in SAFE is an advantage

·        Multi country Culture – it is an advantage if candidate has worked with multiple cultures i.e. not only with Swedes

·        Experience in dealing with deliveries from external parties

·        Ability to excel in a complex environment a number of systems, tech stacks, people and cultures to understand and communicate efficient with

·        Preferred soft skills to be successful in the role

Background Check

Customer is a financial institute where confidence is of great importance. A high ethical standard is an integrated part and for that reason customer has specific consultant requirements regarding security.

All staff provided by an external company to the customer shall be in line with the following screening before they can start:

·        Confirm identification - Verify the consultant´s identity by a valid ID

·        Confirm education - Verify the highest level of education on the consultant´s CV

·        Confirm previous employments - At least two references from previous employers must be contacted personally

·        Check of financial background - Verify the consultant´s financial background by a credit register check, UC

·        Business engagement - Check for possible consultant´s business engagements and eventual previous liquidations

·        Check of criminal record - The consultant must order, and present his /her criminal record
