Insurance Webinar Instructor

The Institutes’ CEU division is dedicated to helping insurance professionals stay informed, compliant, and competitive in today’s fast-paced industry. We offer high-quality continuing education (CE) webinars that meet state requirements, enabling licensed insurance professionals to maintain their licenses and advance their careers.

 

We are looking for an experienced professional to deliver live, online webinars that meet state-specific insurance continuing education (CE) requirements. In this role you will be responsible for presenting content in an engaging, clear manner while ensuring compliance with CE standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry and a passion for teaching and educating licensed insurance professionals.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct live webinars on risk management and insurance topics that enable insurance professionals to fulfill state licensing CE requirements.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to update and refine webinar materials, ensuring they remain relevant, compliant, and in alignment with adult education best practices.
  • Ability to address attendee questions in real time during live Q&A.
  • Understanding of various state CE requirements and ability to adjust presentations accordingly.
  • Collect feedback from attendees and use it to continuously improve the quality and delivery of CE content
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Competencies

  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of insurance concepts such as ethics, emerging technologies, policy coverage, annuities, industry regulations, fraud, risk management and more.
  • Presentation and Communication Skills: Clear, engaging, and professional communication style to effectively convey complex topics to both seasoned and early career professionals. Experience with adult learning principles, ensuring that content is digestible, interactive, and retention focused. Ability to provide instruction that is pragmatic, significant and relevant to risk management and insurance professionals.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment across organizational boundaries in a constructive and collaborative manner. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to effectively manage time and communicate with others about deadlines to ensure that established processes remain on schedule. Ability to manage multiple webinars and effective time management during webinars to ensure the session stays on track and covers all required materials.
  • Technology: Ability to manage the technical aspects of webinars, including use of online platforms and troubleshooting issues if necessary.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, risk management and insurance degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in insurance and risk management, preferably both P&C and L&H
  • CPCU designation and/or current insurance license preferred
  • Experience presenting insurance content via webinars, conferences or professional development events preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required and familiarity with webinar hosting platforms preferred
