Job description

This is a remote position.

Client has an immediate need for full-time Sr. BI Administrator.

Description of Duties :

Serves as a first line of support for technical issues relating to reports or Cognos itself.
Monitors and maintains application security.
Enhances, and performance tunes reports, application servers.
Provides support to reporting communities / power users.
Works with business partners to plan new or enhance existing BI infrastructure.
Plan Upgrades and enhancements BI environments with the assistance of product architect.
Knowledge on third party administration product called BSP meta manager is nice to have.

Requirements

Required Experience :

Experience in AWS QuickSight, Data Pipeline, DMS, and SPICE.
10+ years of BI experience.

Required Skills :

Must have SQL experience in building and analyzing queries in Oracle databases.
Must be an expert in administering Cognos Reporting, cubes & Cognos Framework Manager.
Experience working with vendor customer support on issue resolution.
Strong understanding of relational and star-schema database designs is preferred.
Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
Must possess a proven track record on business intelligence project delivery and demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have :

Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
Availability to work after hours and/or weekends and on-call, as specified by supervisor.
