The Portfolio President at Fullsteam oversees the long-term success and growth of multiple Verticals within the Portfolio. This role involves setting an overarching strategy for the Portfolio, fostering alignment with the company's core objectives, and driving revenue growth, innovation, and operational excellence across Verticals. The Portfolio President will work closely with corporate and shared service leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to portfolio-wide goals, optimize resource allocation, and manage collective financial performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build, deploy and manage the go to market strategy for portfolio in close collaboration with the sales team and vertical leaders.
  • Build a high performing sales team that works cross functionally with verticals to develop a robust revenue generation plan. 
  • Make strategic investment decisions to rebalance and optimize the portfolio.
  • Work closely with M&A to identify acquisition targets for your portfolio.
  • Define the strategic vision for the portfolio, setting priorities and objectives that support the company’s overarching mission and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership and Portfolio leadership to achieve cross-portfolio alignment on business strategies and operational plans that reinforce corporate objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies that drive scalability, sustainability, and growth across Verticals, with an emphasis on portfolio-wide synergies and market leadership.
  • Establish performance standards for Verticals and oversee the monitoring of portfolio-wide KPIs and financial performance, ensuring alignment with revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Champion the integration of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across Verticals to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a customer-first approach across all Verticals, ensuring that customer needs and expectations are prioritized in all strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the financial health of the entire portfolio, including collective P&L responsibility. Ensure budgeting, forecasting, and financial objectives are met for each Vertical within the portfolio.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources across the portfolio to maximize profitability, manage costs, and achieve operational efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance to Vertical leaders on product development and service enhancement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams such as Sales, Finance, and Product to ensure integrated strategies that support the broader business goals and enhance portfolio cohesion.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Vertical Presidents, establishing a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Champion company core values, promoting an inclusive and positive culture across the portfolio that supports professional growth, performance excellence, and organizational integrity.
  • Ensure all Verticals operate within the framework of compliance, governance, and industry standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks across the portfolio.
  • Represent the Portfolio in executive-level discussions and contribute to company-wide initiatives, projects, and strategic decisions.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience, with extensive experience in managing large, complex portfolios within a technology or software company.
  • Proven track record of leading high-level strategic initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and managing senior leadership teams.
