POSITION SUMMARY
This role provides subject matter expertise in HR technology platforms, particularly Workday, overseeing system management, configuration, design, and development. It involves leading technical reviews, offering consultative solutions for HR system implementations, and ensuring data integrity through custom reporting and dashboards. The position is responsible for managing system life cycles, supporting integrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and aligning system changes with business needs. Additionally, it includes project management, collaboration with stakeholders, and fostering continuous improvement by integrating automation, staying updated on industry trends, and refining the HR technology ecosystem.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job Function & Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise and Technical Guidance
• As a subject matter expert in various HR technology platforms, including HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Management (i.e., ADP, Workday, Paylocity etc.).
• Lead and coordinate technical reviews (architectural, security, compliance, etc.).
• Provide consultation, design input, and feedback for application development and design reviews for HR system implementations.
• Develop solution options, recommendations, and designs based on domain roadmaps/requirements, enterprise security standards, and reference architectures.
• Provide consultative practical solutions with business process, design, configuration, and testing. Proactively offering options, risks, and downstream impacts related to decisions.
System Management and Configuration
• Design and implement system changes to align with business needs, managing the setup and data elements of foundational structures in - HRIS/HCM platforms (ADP, Workday, Paylocity etc.).
• Extensive knowledge understanding the system life cycles and possess a mix of HR system and process knowledge to interpret business requirements into technical solutions. Manage the lifecycle of features, from inceptions to implementation, throughout production until retirement/upgrade.
• Managing reports, dashboards, security configurations, and data integrity within HR systems.
• Supporting integration efforts and ensuring seamless data flow across different platforms.
• Developing and implementing custom objects, calculations, business process and configurations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical system issues, as well as creating and maintaining reports and managing business processes.
• Review functionality delivered in releases to assess business impacts and identify opportunities for enhancements.
Design and Development
• Lead design sessions to develop designs leveraging standard capabilities of HRIS/HCM, including in-system demos.
• Develop, test, and implement HRIS/HCM solutions based on business requirements.
• Designing solutions that are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, cost optimized, operationally excellent, and performant.
Data Integrity and Reporting
• Analyze and present data effectively.
• Develop custom reports and dashboards tailored to the specific needs of business units, enhancing data-driven decision-making.
• Maintain accountability for data integrity, focusing on quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability across core systems and related interfaces.
Project Management and Planning
• Participating in HRIS/HCM system release teams, actively testing all new features and conducting assessments to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Driving regular planning processes with business stakeholders to establish priorities aligned with our strategic objectives.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
• Developing and maintaining the multi-year HR technology roadmap and strategy in collaboration with HR business stakeholders.
• Developing collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the entire organization and driving management methodologies with change champions in other teams.
• Collaborating across application teams to integrate HRIS/HCM system with other key transactional processing systems for a tightly integrated landscape.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand HR needs and design solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
Innovation and Improvement
• Transforming manual HR processes into automated practices through the design and implementation of frameworks, resulting in increased efficiency and reliability of testing procedures.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the HR function through thought leadership and implementation of a scalable HR technology ecosystem.
• Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform the continuous evolution of the HR technology strategy.
• Identifying and evaluating new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value.
• Conducting white box testing for HRIS/HCM configurations and integrations, gaining insights into the internal workings of reports, integrations, HRIS/HCM specific query language, and configuration processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: Please identify the nature of education and experience such as: Associates, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (four-year college or technical school) and list any applicable specialty or field of study.
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in: Human Resources, Information Systems or Business Administration.
• Implementing/enhancing/maintaining a Workday HRIS on a global scale is a must.
• 10+ years HR Technology experience; leading enterprise projects, system maintenance, data/analytics.
• Minimum 7 years of configuration experience with Product Suites such as ADP, Workday, Paylocity or other HCM platforms.
• Five years of the following product areas focus: Core HCM (required), Recruiting, Benefits, Advanced Compensation (required), Performance Management, Learning, Time Tracking and Absence Management.
• 3 years’ experience building Core Connectors, Web Services, and Workday Studio
• 3 years’ experience building Workday PICOF/PECI integrations and BIRT reporting
• Experience in designing, developing and implementing platforms, APIs, and/or complex technical capabilities preferably in Workday and/or other HR related software.
• General knowledge of Web Services, Integration, and Payroll processes
• Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP functions
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform gap analysis
• Proficient in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and validation of enhancements and new features
• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end HR processes, methodologies, and practices.
• Equivalent In lieu of degree: Will accept experience in any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Preferred Qualifications:
• Workday Pro or HRIS certifications are a plus.
• Experience in system performance testing and process improvement is a plus.
• Applicable Master’s degree preferred
• Technology & Software Skills: Advanced computer skills in MS Office products.
• Certifications & Licenses: A valid and current Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and professional licensure(s)
