Job Description:

This role is responsible for supporting multiple applications in bp Trading Credit Risk space and for working on new projects. You will also coordinate with internal I&E delivery teams in testing, management of environments and coordinating releases to support various project deliverables and BAU work items within the agreed timelines.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an Agile environment, in testing and providing quality assurance. Critical to the success of this role is having strong analytical and technical skills, to work with globally distributed team of business analysts, developers, testers and support team in testing and release of product features and BAU work items.

Crucial Experience and Job Requirements:
Overall 9+ years of experience and 5+ years of experience in solution designing & implementation using Databricks, Scala & ADF (Azure Data Factory) pipelines.
Hands-on experience with data pipelines using a variety of source and target locations (e.g., SQL Server, Databricks, file-based)
Experience with data analysis in SQL Server/PostgreSQL with strong RDMS database query skills
Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Spark in Databricks notebooks
Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows for performance, scalability and reliability
Working knowledge of a continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Git
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audience
Be able to work within a global team with a collaborative mindset
Strong analytical, problem solving and testing skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Key Accountabilities
Support Credit Risk DevOps Manager and Technical leads in supporting End of Day jobs, Business questions.
Key resource to support business and EOD jobs in India time zone.
Point of contact for Credit Risk I&E team in India.
Coordinate with the offshore team during India hours.
Where possible identify areas for automation to support delivery of BAU and Project work items.
Work with geographically diverse delivery groups (BA’s QA’s and Developers) and support teams to deliver solutions effectively and efficiently, following the change management procedures for smooth and timely delivery of solutions.
Work and contribute as part of team within agile methodology with collaborative approach to sharing ideas and maintain/participate the Kanban board, daily scrums, and retrospective meetings.
Identify common issues across business groups and help design a standardized solution for all.
Proactively identify risks, suggest fixes for defects and support timely resolution of critical production issues. Define and document standard run books and operating procedures. Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams.
Desirable criteria
Prior experience in the energy trading or financial services industry.
Prior experience of managing End of Day data processing Jobs
Experience contributing to the design, planning, implementation, and documentation of data services and products.
Experience in any enterprise scheduling Application like Stonebranch.
Education
Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a numerate degree
