A Day in the Life

Join our newly created Service & Repair department, a rapidly growing team at Medtronic Greece which is part of Medtronic’s Global Service & Repair organization. We are seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to support our customers across the country. Your focus will be to provide the highest levels of field service and customer support across a wide range of products to customers. Mainly starting with specializing on Hugo Robotics and Large capital devices like O-arms, Navigation and Cryo Consoles.

The focus will be extended on medium and small capital devices from all our Operational Units portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance customer experience and loyalty while driving service revenue and commercial opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing the strategy for Service and Repair in Greece, with the goal of establishing us as an uncontested market leader as a service provider across all sectors.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Leading and executing installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
  • Proactively engaging customers, providing expert support and building strong, long-term relationships
  • Troubleshooting and performing repairs on-site, ensuring systems function according to manufacturer specifications
  • Supporting the integration of new products, performing upgrades and configuration updates to existing systems
  • Scheduling and conducting preventive maintenance visits to ensure optimal performance of all equipment
  • Assisting users with technical support, including phone and remote support
  • Acting as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, collaborating with other field service engineers
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensure compliance with operational guidelines, QA procedures, and safety standards


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Biomed training/degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic/electro-mechanical engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required – driving license needed
  • Effective presentation, negotiation skills, and ability to manage stressful situations
  • Dedicated to building long-term relationships and exceeding customer expectations
  • Relevant experience from the medical equipment or healthcare industry, where experience working in a hospital environment or with X-ray or Operating Room (OR) products will be considered as an advantage
  • Experience with Service Max, Good Documentation Practice (GDP) knowledge, and ESD precautions would be valued
