The Opportunity
As a dedicated Manager Senior, Business Intelligence Analytics, you will manage a team of AML data analysts to provide strategic and tactical data solutions to AML monitoring. The Senior Manager will provide hands-on guidance and technical expertise on data analytics, data sourcing, data processing and data quality management. The Senior Manager will establish and bring rigor to the processes to improve AML data quality. The Senior Manager will collaborate with leaders in the other functional areas to bring insight into AML monitoring through quality analytical support, quality data solutioning and timely remediation of data issues.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Collaborates with other data analyst and IT leaders across the Enterprise to implement an information strategy.
- Understands and supports the execution of the business intelligence strategic plan and partners with the business on determining compliant support solutions.
- Consults and advises business partners on decision support solutions.
- Ensures teams maintain understanding of business processes and high end-user satisfaction through substantial partnerships.
- Encourages innovation, provides direction on work prioritization, manages capacity, assists with problem resolution.
- Responsible for direct report performance management, talent development, and career progression planning.
- Accountable for teamwork product volume, quality, and business value delivery.
- Serves as a liaison between the business and IT teams to build USAA core information delivery capabilities.
- Maintains industry expertise; advises and applies standard processes in business intelligence solutions and platforms, usability testing, experience design and storytelling.
- Partners with CoSA and Enterprise teams to ensure adherence to information governance and management standards.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or other quantitative discipline; OR 4 additional years of related work experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of experience in data and analytics, technical or business-relevant function; or if advanced degree in a STEM discipline, 4 or more years’ experience in data and analytics, technical, or business-relevant function.
- 2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in authoring and gathering requirements for moderately complex business intelligence solutions.
- Demonstrated facilitation, collaboration and consensus building skills, with experience in presenting to cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience applying business intelligence practices, methods, and problem-solving strategies.
- Experience leading and coaching others in understanding and translating needs into requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and regulatory data sources.
- Sophisticated experience developing business deliverables that leverage business intelligence platforms, data management platforms, or SQL-based languages (Tableau, Business Objects, Snowflake, Hadoop, Netezza, NoSQL, ANSI SQL, or related).
- Demonstrated the ability to embed intuitive story telling within the business intelligence solutions and platforms including concise presentation of sophisticated technical details.
What sets you apart:
- Strong technical expertise in ETL processing, data modeling and data analytics, to include Actimize Anti-Money Laundering solutions and Bridger insight/LexisNexis Risk Solutions.
- 4+ years of Anti-Money laundering (AML) experience with large financial institutions in the US.
- Hands-on experience addressing the data challenges and executing best practices in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) industry.
- Strength in agility and adaptability, learning new skills and/or managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Solid (oral and written) communication with business partners/executive leadership, to provide effective reporting, planning, and training across team.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $99,160.00 - $189,530.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
