This is a hybrid position. Candidate MUST be located in one of the following US states/areas: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, NC, NV, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA. Candidate MUST be available to work PST business hours

 

Position Overview:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a strategic thinker who will combine expertise in data analysis, data visualization, and business acumen to transform complex data sets into actionable insights. This role employs a variety of tools and methodologies to interpret trends, patterns, and predictions within business data, providing a foundation for improved efficiency, increased profitability, and competitive advantage. The role also involves extensive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, IT, Operations, and Finance. It also empowers stakeholders to make informed decisions that drive business success.


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and support of SkinSpirit’s Business Intelligence reporting environments and data warehouse, including Snowflake, Power BI, Power App, Power Automate, Rivery, and other technologies as needed
  • Provide data management services such as accessing new data feeds, building queries and macros, organizing data and designing dashboards that present status-at-a-glance visualization for business performance
  • Lead and partner with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to design, build and test new reports and analytics dashboards
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards, providing technical support as needed
  • Guide data strategy and the analytic needs of the business by aggregating data from diverse sources (e.g. EMR, Finance, Call Data, Marketing, HR, etc.) with incongruent data definitions and types
  • Partner with and oversee work performed by data engineering vendors on updates to existing integrations and dashboards, as well as the development of new data integrations and dashboards
  • Own the data integrity across multiple connected systems, including defining and communicating data definitions and monitoring metric consistency
  • Build and monitor analytics dashboards to identify and resolve data inaccuracies and performance issues. Make recommendations for system improvements to increase accuracy, reliability and accessibility
  • Use various project management methodologies, including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/Waterfall model and Agile, to successfully execute projects on time, budget and scope
  • Maintain robust documentation library including data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, development standards, standard operating procedures, disaster recovery/business continuity plans, etc.
  • Ensure full compliance with architectural and reporting standards, operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and data integrity levels
  • Conduct market analysis to benchmark the company’s business intelligence capabilities against others to identify new opportunities
  • Assist with other duties as assigned


What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or equivalent experience in related field required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience building with data visualization using PowerBI, or similar tools
  • 5+ years of experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines using SQL for integrations. Snowflake, Rivery and Python experience preferred
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
  • Experience working with and integrating data from API connections
  • Understands multi-tiered data warehouse structures
  • Excellent communication skills tying together technologies and architectures to business results and present to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent customer service skills that including listening to user groups and speaking with them at the appropriate level
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Self-motivated and can manage working remotely
  • Proven history excelling in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products and ability to quickly learn new technology platforms 

 
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl, talk and hear


 

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $130,000* (Plus bonus potential)
*Compensation will be determined based on a candidate's skills, experience, location, etc.
