What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Functional Leadership of Global Financial Planning & Analysis process for RD&I
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Assistant Accountant
Develop and grow finance staff in particular by providing training and upskilling.
Produce the monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentaries for your dedicated Business Units.
Monitor internal cost modeling for Business Units' operational performance by providing variance analysis and recommendations for costing updates.
Be the trusted and respected "go to" person for the responsible business units in relation to all non-transactional Finances queries.
Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure that accounting standards are complied with, and group reporting follows regulatory requirements.
Cashflow management for responsible Business Units in conjunction with Group Financial Controller
Management of the end-of-the-year audit process for responsible Business Units
Raise the overall level of financial competency within the Global Business through the direction of Finance Business Partners
Streamline, coordinate, and enhance the Financial Planning & Analysis functions across the Group.
Benchmark and drive consistency within the Finance Business Partner roles
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of required reporting, commentaries, and system maintenance for Responsible Business Unit and Global submissions.

What You'll Need for This Role?

Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent
Demonstrates high-quality leadership and management skills.
Experience motivating high-performing and engaged teams.
Commercially astute with excellent communication skills and acumen
Highly collaborative with an ability to engage and influence at senior levels.
Experience in group consolidation within a global organization
Financial Reporting with a strong affinity for technical accounting standards
Understanding of tax obligations within the US environment
Relationship management: uses appropriate interpersonal styles and influencing techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans; adapts communications style to maximize business impact and move communication toward agreed-upon actions.
R&D environment experience
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
